Three strategies for bringing more kindness into your life

What is Happiness Heroes?

Happiness Heroes is a fun after-school enrichment club which uses the arts to teach a range of skills proven to improve well-being.

What can make us happier?
The five main elements of Happiness Heroes are:

Mindfulness      Gratitude      Exercise      Kindness to others  and      Sharing emotions

There is scientific evidence to show each of these practices can improve mental health and wellbeing, whatever the circumstances children (or adults) may be experiencing.

Using the arts
The methods of Happiness Heroes are drawn from my experience as an artist and theatre maker; in creative facilitation and the therapeutic use of the arts - and through many years working with children and young people.

Fun!
One of the most important aims of Happiness Heroes is for the participants to have a great time!
Happiness Heroes activities include: painting, singing, meditation, dancing, trying new foods (mindful eating), creating t-shirts, cards, posters and badges, positive pranking,  listening to music, visualisation, having conversations and playing lots and lots of games!

When and where?
I can run Happiness Heroes as a one-hour after-school club in your primary or secondary school, or come to join in with the school day. I can offer an assembly, small groups or work with a whole class. I am also happy to work in out-of-school settings such as youth clubs.
